Hughes Lake
Shore Park is a family
owned and operated
campground since 1985. We
are not a fancy resort.
Just a kick-back be-lazy
get your feet dirty
campground. We do not
take reservations we
operate on a first come
first serve basis. We
offer you a place to
setup a tent, park a
camper or motor home and
just relax.
Lake Hughes
is a Natural Lake, fed by
underground springs and
Mother Nature (rain). A
fishing license is
required and swimming is
permitted. You are
welcome to bring your own
small water craft.
Nothing over 10
horsepower motors are
allowed. We have
restrooms, picnic tables,
bar-b-cue pits
(Campfires are
regulated by U. S.
Forestry.) and
shade trees. We regret
that we do not have full
hook-ups for RV's at this
time. We also fill
propane tanks. Check out
our rates page for
pricing.
Fish in Lake
Hughes are plentiful. We
have Cat Fish, Blue Gill,
Crappie, Bass and Red Ear
Sun Fish.
If
Fishing isn't your game,
we have lots of hiking
trails. We often get
Hikers walking the PCT
(Pacific Crest Trail)
Formerly known as the
John Muir Trail.
All in all,
were a great place to set
up camp. Relax with a
good book and be close to
Nature.
We're easy
to get to from L.A.. Just
take Interstate 5 north,
past Magic Moutain. Exit
Lake Hughes Road turn off
at Castaic. Follow Lake
Hughes road 20 miles
until it Dead Ends. Turn
right. Come one mile to
Trail K turn right again.
Campground Entrance next
right.
We
look forward to seeing
you.
